What happens if it rains?
As a family photographer, I always want my clients to have the best time during their sessions - the best photos come when you’re having fun! Clients often ask me if we'll reschedule the session if it’s raining. The answer is… it’s up to you! I love hanging out in the sunshine with you, and a clear sunset can help create some great images, but sometimes clients are happy to go ahead even in the pouring rain… like Hannah and Alex!
I checked in with Hannah about a week before the session and talked about what she would like to do if the weather did turn, and then again the day before when the weather forecast said ‘100% chance of rain’!
Hannah and Alex were happy to go ahead in the rain, and I was excited to get some creative shots and capture some raindrops. Hannah kindly arranged for her mum to look after Otis (their lovely french bulldog) for the first half hour of the session and then bring him along. This meant that he didn’t get too wet, and that Hannah and Alex could focus on each other without having to worry about Otis getting chilly (or jumping in the lake…).
We all brought waterproofs, umbrellas and a change of clothes for afterwards. We had a ball, laughed a lot, and I think you’ll agree… the photos are worth the soggy socks and smudged mascara. I’m so thankful to Hannah and Alex for trusting me!
